The Eye Witness

Disclaimer: This story is a pure concoction of fiction. It is not a copy of any story. I don't have patience to write elaborate details, so it is just a very simple story.

There were once two brothers, Ramiah and Lakshmiah. The two were industrious and ambitious. They got a good idea and decided to start a business. (For a good bussiness you don't need money, you just need a good idea... courtesy Badmaash Company). So their business went on to become successful. And then as it always happens..... (in Bollywood movies and in real life) greed got better of Ramiah. He wanted all the business and success for himself. So one day he murdered his brother Laksmiah... Intelligent as all villains are he covered his tracks well. So people did not know who murdered Laksmiah.

The murder case was closed at a dead as no one could find out who killed Laksmiah. Ramiah owned the business. He was singing the Ayashi song from Badmaash company. He was very happy and looked like he will live happily ever after... but then here comes the twist. Villains do not win and picture ab baki hai mere dost....

After twenty years a man came and said that he wanted to reopen the murder case of Lakshmiah. The court and law (whoever was the authority) asked him who is your suspect and who is your witness ? He said that his suspect was Ramiah and the witnesses were two. One was Ramiah himself and the other he said will be known in the court. They asked him what his name was he said, you can call me "Swami..... Muthu Swami" (little comedy or pjs are required !!)

He said Ramiah will openly accept that He is the murderer...

Then in the court Muthu Swami started talking with Ramiah. He started telling aloud the most intimate secrets which the brothers alone shared and knew. (Flashback.....)He talked about how they came about this business idea. He told what they actually wanted to name the business first and what it was named now.... He told where they used to hoard all their black money and all other intimate secrets.....

Ramiah was astonished as to how a third person....came back after 20 years and reeled out all the secrets that the brothers alone knew. Out of pure surprise and astonishment Ramiah agreed to whatever Muthu Swami told. He wondered how this guy knew all this.

And now comes the all important climax. Muthu Swami told Ramiah that he killed Lakshmiah on so and so date. While murdering him he was wearing so and so dress and he told such and such a dialogue. Ramiah started shivering and perspiring. His legs were shaking with fear. Without his knowledge he said yes. Whatever Muthu Swami told was true....

Out of absolute curiosity he asked Muthu Swami how he knew all this..... Ramiah knew that he was the person who committed the crime so obviously he was a witness as well but who was the other witness ???

Lakshmiah had promised to donate his eyes after his death. Lakshmiah's eyes were donated to Muthu Swami. So whatever Laksmiah witnessed was there clear and vivid for Muthu Swami as well. There were two witnesses to the murder... Ramiah and Lakshmiah's eyes..... the Eye Witness....

Muthu Swami said his eyes were a witness....
