Drawing The Blue Print

A frustrated man barged into the PIH (People in heaven) service center.

A temple for the yesteryear man.

He was frustrated with all the happenings of his life. He demanded that God show the blue print of his Life.

God led him to a spacious hall. God told him, “Before I show the blueprint to your life I will give you an activity. The activity is that you must design the blue print of a soul that I am going to send down to earth.”

“You must decide:

-the time

-the name

-the place

-the gender”

This man was having a tough time. He had to take care of many things of the soul like

Its education, marriage, the dreams etc. He had a tough time chalking out the endless details. He had faced a lot of problems in life so he decided to allow this soul to live a fresh and free life devoid of problems.

Meanwhile our big brother, God, came and looked over his shoulder to look how the work was progressing. This man felt a little scared, “Maybe God is smiling because I did not include any problems in the soul’s life.” So he added a few problems here and there so that God does not reject the blue print.

At last he finished the blue print. He heaved a huge sigh of relief.

He remarked to God, “You must be having a really tough time. I had a tough time preparing the blue print for one soul, you must be under going a lot of strain preparing the blue print for many souls!!”

God remarked, “I saved myself of all that trouble.

I never prepare blue prints. I just send the souls and let them be. Then whatever happens is the so called Karma theory. As far as I am concerned it is pure fiction. Karma is a jargon used in the spiritual parlance. As far as I am concerned spirituality is a brand name.”

“I saw you adding a few problems here and there in the blueprint. You thought I would reject it. When you being a mere human being have so much compassion so as to minimize the problems of the soul, I who am God won’t I have the compassion too. Why should I deliberately infuse problems in your life? Every thing is your doing.”

“Make life simple.

The best way to get control over one’s life is to let go off it.”

Now-a-days are the days of marketing and “CUSTOMER SERVICE” is of prime importance.

Seeing this changing trends, the PIH (People In Heaven) decided to give better “CUSTOMER SERVICE” to the people on earth.

They carried out a survey on earth to find out about the woes of the people. The main complain was that the ambassadors of Heaven, that is, Rama, Krishna, Allah etc were outdated and they had many shortcomings. Moreover the people on earth could not relate with them. They wanted a new ambassador or a new God, the 21st century God who would be an updated version.

Seeing the woes of the people the PIH decided to do something. Immediately the PIH advertised all over the Earth, “Releasing Soon, A New God.”

The release was widely anticipated, there was a lot of excitement. The excitement was lot more than the excitement before the release of a movie , or before the release of election results or before the release of exam results. People were excited because the doors of heaven were thrown open to them.

And finally the New God was released.

This New God was going to satisfy all the people.

All the people had to submit a design proposal for their own God.
This design was to be submitted by ------------- A Prayer.

The God designed by each of the people would be delivered to the people personally by ---------------- A Dream

The only place that these Gods could be worshipped was---- Their Hearts.

Create your own God.

You will be obsessed with him. You will be proud of Him.

And Ultimately you will fall in love with Him.

This will be true Love for God.

Soon you will worship yourself.

You are your own God.

God you think of God you are!!

Shopping In Heaven

Shopping In Heaven

And one fine day this man landed in Heaven.

He entered one of the shopping malls that was bigger than a Walmart or a Spencer Plaza. He enterd a shop that sold Happiness.

He went in asked, "I want Happiness."

The shopkeeper smiled and said, "You must have come to the heaven for the first time.What kind of happiness do you want??
Happiness from Friends.
Happiness from Good Food.
Happiness from Wealth
Happiness fron Nature...
Which kind do you want?"

The man was puzzled. He said, "I don't want and of these. I want Plain and Simple Happiness."

It was the shopkeeper's turn to be puzzled.He said, "No one asked anything like that before. I think we are out of stock."

Just as the dejected man was about to walk away he heard a voice that said, "Wait!!"

It was a voice of the owner of the shop. And who else could be the owner of the shop other than God Himself. He came with a beaming smile and said, "I can give you what you want."

God went on to say, "Actually we used to sell only Plain and Simple Happiness but sadly there were no takers. So I had to package Happiness attractively and sell it like this. So take whatever you want and you will get your Plain and Simple Happiness."

Life Is... A Beautiful Vacation

Life Is…

Life is a beautiful vacation. God sends our souls on this vacation. He sends us(read as souls) so that it may repay remaining debts. Ourselves that is the souls want to be with God as soon as possible. So we tell Him that we will be back as soon as the work for which we are sent is over. He also gives us a contact no. just in case we want to contact Him. This is nothing but a prayer. We would use it to tell Him how much we have progressed and how soon we’ll be back. Instead we use it to for many other things.
World is a museum. We can just watch and enjoy. Do not crave to possess the exhibits in the museum. We are aware of this rule of the museum. Yet when we enter the world called the museum, we crave for the exhibits. When we reach out to the one we craved for the curator appears and politely tells, “You Sir! Are not entitled to posses that exhibit.” Who is this Curator? He is none other than God in disguise. We forgot the rule and when the Curator expounds the rule we look up to Him as a supernatural being.
You too knew the rule, only you forgot it. When you expound the rule you too become God. You and God are not different. We are all same. We are all CELESTIAL CITIZENS.

-Life is an unlimited vacation, Enjoy it before it ends.

Prayer

Prayer is a mode of communication to God. We pray to God for many things.
T o approach the president you first approach his secretary. Which means you are approaching the president via the secretary to achieve something that the secretary cannot achieve?
Similarly when we approach God asking him for something from the world, you are indirectly placing the world on a higher pedestal. Can there be anything greater than God?
We are running around in circles. We encounter a problem we make a prayer. This is followed by some solution and then some temporary happiness. Once again we encounter some other problem, which is followed as usual by a prayer and then the circle continues. How long will we run in this circle? Let’s think beyond.

Lottery!!

LOTTERY!!!

All our actions are equivalent to buying a lottery ticket. We pay money and buy a lottery ticket. The number that we get, the number that gets drawn is pure luck. Winning and losing is not in our hands.

Our actions are like that. The act of buying the lottery ticket is the effort we put. But the outcome of the action or the fruits of our actions are unpredictable. We can only wait and watch with anticipation. The main cause of our sorrow is that we attach ourselves to the fruits of our action and expect a lot. If we understood that the fruits are like the money we win in the lottery ticket then we will enjoy whatever little we get.

T oday when you buy a computer you get many things free. When you buy a computer you get a free CD writer, free speakers, free computer desk, but we all know that the actual product is the computer. In fact it is only that the computer that comes with a guarantee and not the free wares.
God has given us life. Along with this life he also gives us free relationships, free attachments, free memories. The main thing is our life. But we end up focusing in these free attachments which don’t even have a guarantee. when we approach God asking him for something from the world, you are indirectly placing the world on a higher pedestal. Can there be anything greater than God?
Don’t concentrate on the add-ons and plug- ins concentrate on the main aim of life.

A Movie Called ... The World!!

Many a times in life we are frustrated by our failures. We are not able to dictate what must happen in our lives in spite of best of our efforts..
ust don’t try to control your life. Let off the hold that you have on your life. Relax!!! Ease your self. Just wait and watch.
Imagine you are sitting with God in the theater and watching a movie called “The World”. You will see that you are laughing along with God looking at what these crazy “Human beings” are doing. Life is so simple but look at them running about aimlessly.
You are the King, you are the Celestial Citizen, you are the Sarkar. You will understand how trivial this life is !!

HighWay To God

There is one straight Highway to God. We are traveling in a vehicle. There is a driver to the vehicle. All along this highway there are many bylanes, shopping malls and coffee shops and other various distractions. We every now and then visit one of these shopping malls, coffee shops or the bylanes for some purpose. But soon we get addicted to these bylanes and forget that we were actually traversing on the highway. The driver has to patiently wait for us. The driver constantly reminds that our fuel is running out so do not make any trips to these bylanes. If the fuel gets exhausted then we won’t be able to reac hour destination.

HighWay To God

We are the souls and God is the driver. All the bylanes are our desires, attachments and duties. We know that we have to do our duty for duty’s sake and keep moving. But we fall in the trap and get so attached to the duties that we take a lot of time in the bylanes and forget that we have to go actually on the highway.
The fuel in the vehicle is time. The more time we waste in the attachments the lesser time we have to devote for God.

Even while doing service we make the mistake of getting attached to it. Service is just a signpost to God. By clinging on to this signpost we cannot reach God. Every time we emerge out of the lane our Driver, God waits patiently and asks, “Is your work over can we proceed now?”

Many a times when we would have been in our classrooms we would have been talking our chatting with our friends around. Then the teacher waits for us and tells, “If you have finished your chatting may I proceed?”

Only once all the unwanted things in our mind subside can we establish communication with God. So please travel on the Highway and keep the bigger picture in mind.

For All Of You..

When a student is about to join a hostel, there are many questions that arise in his mind. First and foremost, how long do I have to stay over here? The student now accedes to the fact that he has no other go but to stay in the hostel for certain amount of time. Now having knowledge about how long he or she has to stay the student thinks how to make his life comfortable in the hostel. So he asks the pertaining questions:

Am I allowed to keep a cell phone? Whom can I meet? How is the food? How are the people there? Can I keep a walkman? Whom am I supposed to know for what?

All the above are the question pertaining to the facilities where as the sole purpose is to finish studies and move on. Without understanding the sole purpose the foolish student concentrates on somehow acquiring the various facilities required to make his life comfortable. When finally he finishes his studies and goes out and looks back upon his hostel days he will laugh at himself for pondering “the comforts” which were but trivial.

The friends in the hostel are the attachments that he develops which will be forgotten once he steps out of his hostel.

Drawing a parallel to the hostel life and life in the world. Human beings after attaining a little maturity realise that they have to stay on earth for a stipulated period. How long that depends on each individual? Having this knowledge that he has to stay for some time and then depart he know goes about trying to make his life as comfortable as possible. This is the prime cause of the desires and attachments. He forgets that his primary goal is to realize himself and thinks that his goal is to make his life as comfortable as possible. Unlike the student who finished his studies and looked back upon , I don’t think one can look back after living one’s life.

Identity Crisis

There was once a man who was a teacher. He had been teaching the students of the 4th class for the last ten years. One day he was very depressed and confused. He wondered where his life was heading. He was fed up with his mundane routine. Getting up in the morning, having breakfast and then going to the school and then returning back. He wanted some change out of this mundane rhythm and wanted something out of the world. Just as he was going through these feelings a person comes and meets him. This person is very happy and comes and thanks him profusely. He says that he was his student and that now he has come out in flying colours. He tells that he is indebted to his teacher because one of the stories that this teacher had narrated in the class served as an inspiration for him. He owed all his success to him. This man then realised his mistake.
Till then he was identifying himself as a layman and an ordinary teacher. He considered himself insignificant. But know when this student told that he derived inspiration from him, he started identifying himself with the spirit of the teacher. He realised that he no more is an insignificant person. He had the power to change students, influence students and mould his students.
What is the difference? Earlier he was a teacher and later also he remained a teacher. The difference was that he began identifying himself with the spirit of the teacher and not his "mere and insignificant body".
Similarly many a times in our lives people come to us with many problems. We are eager to help them but are a unable to do so. We feel it is not in our capacity to help them, some higher power is required. So many times we would have heard news about the earthquake and tsunami, floods, riots etc. We want to help the people but we are not able to do so. In fact many a times we are in a dilemma. We feel guilty on one hand that people are suffering but on the other hand we have to continue with our daily routine.
We feel that it is not in our capacity to help the people because we identify ourselves with the body. The higher force for which we are looking for is the Atma which is present within us. Just as the teacher now started identifying himself with the spirit of the teacher similarly we must start identifying ourselves with the Spirit or the Atma. Then once we are fully convinced that we are the Atma then we will see all others also as Atma. Then we won't see the suffering for the suffering is for the human body and not for the atma. The atma is indestructible.
