When I learnt to drive....

When I learnt to drive....

When I used to with dad in the car.....
I enjoyed the cool breeze, the beautiful sunset...
and the music in the stereo system.

But one day dad asked me to learn to drive.
My mind was fully occupied on learning to drive.
At that time I couldn't enjoy the cool breeze.
I didn't see the sunset but the rearview mirror.
I didn't hear the music but only the horn of the cars behind me.

Days passed. I finished learning driving.
Now when I drove I enjoyed the sunset...
the cool breeze..
and the music.
But hey I didn't forget to drive, it was ingrained in me

Similarly in life at first we don't know what or who God is.
We visit the temple as if we visit our relatives house that we visit occasionally.
We see God and tell him "Hi" just to let him know that we remember him once in a while.
We are full time enjoying the pleasures of life and doing or work leading a routine life

Then comes a point in life wherein we face a calamity or experience a void. Then we turn towards God. Now the pleasures and routines take a back seat. We are full time focussed on God. We eat, live, drink and sleep God. We are drenched with this concept called.
What was just an occassional indulgence has now become a full time addiction.

Then one fine day we become God.
Now once again we go back to the world. The woldly pleasures are there, duties are there.
We continue doing it but there in the back of the mind there is the awareness we are God.
God adds juice to our life.

Earlier God was just one of the compartments of the life along with other compartments like marriage, studies, friends etc.
But now God becomes the juice and undercurrent of life. Spirituality is no longer a seperate compartment but the one that binds everything together.
